How to Recover Data from Formatted Partition

Formatting partition is a common method to clear partition frequently employed by users. Some directly employ the Windows build-in tool to format partition while others utilize third-party software. Whatever, once formatted, partition data would get lost and sometime users' important would be unconsciously formatted.

Formatting a disk does not erase the data on the disk, only the data on the address tables. So, recover formatted data is realistic. Recover Data from Formatted Partition Turtorial

1. Install and Launch iData Recovery Wizard.

Users are supposed to install iData Recovery Wizard to appropriate place (the tool can't be installed to the wiped partition in order to avoid data overwriting).

2. Select Data Recovery Mode.

Then, you will see above main interface and all you need to do now is to select "Data Recovery" to start recovering useful data from formatted partition. The possible partitions will be displayed in iData Recovery Wizard and choose the most suggested one and click Next to continue.

3. Preview and Recover Data from Formatted Partition.

All files found in wiped partition can be seen. You check the files they need to recover.
